Our Philosophy

At Peapod Place, learning is intentional, literature-rich, and deeply connected to the real world. Our program blends strong academic foundation with hands-on experiences, thoughtful discussion, and meaningful work.

Inspired by Charlotte Mason principles, we prioritize high-quality books, narration, curiosity, and understanding over busywork or memorization. Children are given time to engage deeply with ideas, make connections across subjects, and apply what they learn in practical ways.

Rather than separating academics and life skills, we weave them together naturally. Math, reading, writing, history, geography, and language study are supported through real experiences - such as cooking, art, nature observation, projects, and shared responsibilities - creating learning that feels purposeful and alive.

Our curriculum evolves thoughtfully from year to year while remaining grounded in strong educational values. This flexibility allows us to respond to student needs while maintaining consistency, depth, and intention.

Peapod Place offers a calm, small-group environment where children are known, supported, and encouraged to grow academically, socially, and personally.
